Bridge two or more ports together (using WebFig) DdeC 6 April 2021 update 3 July 21 - - To put two or more ports on a subnet, connected by a 'bridge', serving DHCP. For each such bridge: - have a look at Bridge>Ports to check that the ports are not already in a bridge. To free them from the bridge, see 'Isolate bridge port.txt'. - make new bridge. Bridge>Add New (will be no response if no unbridged ports are available) - add ports at Bridge>Ports>Add New - choose LAN addresses and gateway (base) address for the subnet in IP>Addresses>Add New - [the following 3 steps can be carried out from 'IP>DHCP Server>Add New', but in that case the pool and DHCP server names will be set automatically] Set up a pool of DCHP addresses for the subnet IP>Pool>Add New. Note the pool name. - activate the DHCP server for this subnet. IP>DHCP Server>Add New. Give the Serviere a name. "Interface" is the name of the bridge you are supplying DHCP for. "Address Pool" is the pool name. Lease time could be e.g. 7d 00:00:00. - In IP>DHCP Server>Networks set correct subnet and gateway for the bridge. Address should be xx.xx.xx.xx/24 (not sure why the mask defaults to '32'), and "Gateway" is the base IP addr of the subnet. If necessary set preferred DNS server(s) - If desired add the bridge to the Interface list, eg as LAN, in Interfaces>Interface List. Advisable as may be used in firewall. - uplink: to allow access to the Internet from the bridge, check NAT ('masquerade') set towards WAN port at IP>Firewall>NAT - Check all looks good in IP>Routes (- optionally, later when hosts are on LAN, check IP>DHCP Server>Leases and set them static IPs)
